Description
I made the to the backprint corresponding Linocut in 2021, and I think it was the second cut I ever did. I´m not sure if I had a meaning in my mind when starting working on the design but at least over time it respresented a crying mother to me, which may have lost her child, may have mistreated it or may even had to give it away for the better. Even when I´m not the biggest fan of Religions I also had holy Mary in my mind, and there´s also some German Church Song about her being pregnant and walking through a thorny forest while being pregnant. The song is called “Maria durch ein Dornwald ging” for those interested.
Fitting to the print I drew a design for the front off the shirt, a crying eye surrounded by thorns.
